RMMS Database

HMM use a Routine Maintenance Management System (RMMS) to locate, identify, record and repair defects on roads where they they have the responsibility for Operation & Maintenance.   This system creates and prioritises works orders dependant on the severity of the defect with reference to the Trunk Road Maintenance Manual (TRMM) which is the standard used in the majority of road maintenance contracts throughout the UK.   Work is allocated to crews who carry out the necessary repairs and the completion time is then logged to determine if the defects were repaired inside the required time. Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are produced monthly to indicate how the contract is progressing and if the level of service is being achieved and maintained.
